Denim is probably the most wide spread trend in fashion. From high-waisted jeans, jean jackets, skinnies, flares, boyfriend fits, and the good ole' overalls; denim is a trend that has withstood the test of time. However, the denim trend that seems to be exploding right now amongst social media, bloggers, celebs, and fashion magazines is monochromatic denim.
Well... as you can see I attempted this trend. The verdict? I'm in LOVE!! Not only was this look easy to pull together but it had a certain edge to it that
added spunk to my step. The jean jacket itself was cropped and a bit oversized in the arms and shoulders complementing the high waisted skinny jeans I
paired it with. (Quick tip: by wearing a cropped jean jacket with high waisted jeans this accentuates your natural hourglass figure.) Though not shown in the
photo I had a plain black tank top underneath the jacket.
What I loved most about this look was how little effort it took to feel chic. Sticking only on my Raybans and a simple pendant this look didn't need much
for me to feel ready to go. Denim on denim will be an essential look in my wardrobe in the seasons to come.
